Welcome to
WiseImage !
Prior
to version 5.0 our product had the name Spotlight. Now
its name is WiseImage.
If
you installed WiseImage demo-version you have all
functions of the Professional version available, except
the saving function. You do not need a licence to work
with a demo version.
Program
works with colour, grayscale and monochrome images.
WiseImage
Basics
A
raster object is a series of pixels representing
an image. A vector object is a mathematical expression
that generates a graphic entity.
WiseImage
can convert raster images to vector objects on computer.
WiseImage
is a powerful hybrid drawing editor and raster to vector
converter.
Using
WiseImage, you can edit, update and
semi-automatically and automatically vectorize scanned
images such as maps, drawings, sketches and other
graphics. Hybrid drawings consist of a monochrome,
grayscale and color raster image overlaid with vector
elements.
Multiple
raster images can be loaded, and the number of raster
images handled during one session is limited only by
available memory. WiseImage allows the loaded images to
be freely arranged in the limitless workspace.
The
different natures of vector objects and raster objects
imply the use of different operations to process them.
Some
of them are intuitively obvious, some are a little bit
tricky, and some require acquaintance with specific
concepts.
The
main areas where WiseImage is applied are CAD/CAM, GIS,
EDM/TDM, Repro.
Vector
objects are created and edited using variety of tools.
Vector drawings can be imported into WiseImage or
exported to the AutoCAD *.DXF file format.
WiseImage
supports most raster formats including RLC, TIFF, PCX,
CALS and BMP.
You
may also find WiseImage useful in your work if you
handle electronic documents with raster images and need
to perform unusual or too "intellectual for
computer" tasks.
The
rough skeleton of WiseImage is based on the following
techniques:
-
Vectorization – conversion of raster lines, arcs, and
circles to vector objects. WiseImage supports automatic
vectorization, selecting and special tracing procedure.
-
Rasterization –converting vector objects to raster
images.
-
Recognition of characters and raster symbols of
arbitrary shape and complexity.
-
Binarization – picking on a raster image the dots
which color is the same as or similar to a specified
color.
-
Calibration – eliminating the distortion of a scanned
image, that was initially distorted or the distortion
came from the scanner errors.
-
Correction and filtration that prepare an image for
vectorization.
-
Layering – transferring required information from one
image layer to another as result of operation or based
on the criteria of pixels color and object size.
-
Creating new vector and raster objects.
-
Loading and handling multiple raster images of various
formats.
WiseImage
supports all the techniques with multiple additional
tools that smooth your workflow and enable you to solve
complex and unusual tasks.
Having
learned the power of WiseImage, you considerably
increase your professional effectiveness and learn how
to reach your goals avoiding time-consuming and boring
operations.
Enjoy your new program!
